YouTube Displays More Ads to Music Lovers

Do you keep receiving the “YouTube Music” service notification when visiting the platform? The reason for that was announced today. YouTube wants users to become paid subscribers, according to a Bloomberg report.

With over a billion viewers, the Google-owned company will try to convince visitors to pay for the music service.

To help make this happen, YouTube is applying more ads when users listen to music for long periods of time. Some may say it’s to frustrate users “abusing” the platform, but it does offer an opportunity for Google to make their content legit.

It’s known that YouTube has hosted illegal music content since its creation. This could be a way to help any possible relationships within the music industry.

Spotify and Apple have dominated the streaming music space thus far, so it makes sense for Google to join the monetary game.

Will you become a subscriber of the music service?
